The thirty-day DIY Knowledge Panel calendar

We sell this build for $3,000. Here is the whole method, day by day, for nothing. The method was never the product. The months of witness-gathering after day thirty are, and no calendar shortens those.

Day one, right now

Day one of the calendar is a lookup, and you can do it here before you read another line. What comes back decides which of the three routes you are on.

Read this before day one

What thirty days does
  • Gets your identity decided and written down once
  • Puts a canonical home on the internet with your name on it
  • Makes every profile you own agree with every other one
  • Ships the machine-readable layer you fully control
  • Starts the witness work and sets a baseline you can measure against
What thirty days does not do
  • Produce a Knowledge Panel. Nothing produces one in thirty days.
  • Replace the third-party corroboration that takes months to accumulate
  • Fix a namesake collision, which is a longer and different job
  • Make you notable if the underlying record is genuinely thin
  • Survive being done once and abandoned, which is the common failure

A panel cannot be bought, applied for or requested, by us or by anyone. Google shows one when the public record about a person agrees with itself thoroughly enough that hesitating costs more than displaying. On a genuinely strong entity that tends to be six to twelve months from a standing start. Anybody quoting you a date is guessing.

Where day thirty sits on the real timelineThe calendar below is the first bar. Everything after it is months, not days.

The calendar

Thirty days, about 45 hours of work in total, in the order the steps depend on each other. The order is not decorative. Every step assumes the one before it is already true, and skipping is the single most common reason a DIY attempt stalls at month five with nothing to show.

Week one

Decide what is true

Day 01Run the diagnosis

Search your full name in a private window. Screenshot page one. Note whether a panel appears, and whether the results are about you or a namesake.

20 min
Day 02Look up your entity

Check your name against Google's Knowledge Graph. If an identifier comes back you already have a record, and your job is correction rather than construction.

20 min
Day 03Write the three sentences

Who you are. What you stand for. What result you drive, for whom. Plain language, no adjectives. If you cannot answer these, stop here until you can.

2 hr
Day 04Choose the canonical name string

One spelling, one form. Decide it now and never deviate. This is the highest-leverage hour in the whole thirty days.

30 min
Day 05List every profile you own

Every platform, directory, author page, conference bio and podcast feed that carries your name. Include the ones you forgot about. Especially those.

1 hr
Day 06Start the brand brain

One private folder: the identity line, dates, registration numbers, the master headshot, every number you will stand behind in public.

2 hr
Day 07Write the four bios

Identity line, 75 words, 150 words, 350 words. Third person. Same first eight words in all four.

2 hr
Week two

Build the home

Day 08Buy the domain if you do not have one

Your name, ideally exact. This becomes the address every other record points at.

30 min
Day 09Build the entity home

One page is enough to start. Identity line as the first paragraph, in plain text, not inside an image. Master headshot above the fold.

4 hr
Day 10Add the sections

Books, Media, Speaking, Press, Contact. Empty sections are fine and honest. Missing ones are a gap Google cannot fill.

3 hr
Day 11Kill the Linktree

Replace it with a /links page on your own domain. Every profile's one link field points there from now on.

1 hr
Day 12Ship the Person schema

On the entity home only. Complete sameAs. Every field either true or deleted.

2 hr
Day 13Ship the Organization schema

On the company site, with founder pointing back at the person, and worksFor pointing forward. The pair is the point.

1 hr
Day 14Verify Search Console

On an account you will still control in five years. The same account is needed for the claim and for every future edit. Do not use an agency address.

45 min
Week three

Make everything agree

Day 15Align LinkedIn

Name string, headshot file, first eight words of the headline, city, first bio line, link to /links.

45 min
Day 16Align YouTube

Channel name, banner, about text, the links panel. Say your canonical name out loud in the first fifteen seconds of new videos.

45 min
Day 17Align X and Instagram

Same six fields. A dead account is worse than no account, so close what you will not maintain.

45 min
Day 18Align the long tail

Podcast host pages, conference bios, trade directories, author archives. Anything you can still edit, edit.

2 hr
Day 19Fix the image stack

One master headshot, used everywhere as the same file. Then a spread of contexts: speaking, working, portrait, with others.

2 hr
Day 20Audit the name variants

Search each variant of your name that exists in public. Every variant is a weaker duplicate of you. Consolidate what you control.

1 hr
Day 21Write the claim statement

Even though there is nothing to claim yet. Writing it now tells you exactly which records you are still missing.

1 hr
Week four

Start the witnesses

Day 22Map the vertical axis

Your trade: peers, suppliers, associations, conferences, industry podcasts. List twenty. You need three to five to say yes.

2 hr
Day 23Map the geographic axis

Your city: local press, chambers, allied trades, charities, civic bodies. List twenty. Same three to five.

2 hr
Day 24Send the first ten asks

Short, specific, and carrying your identity line verbatim so whoever publishes it repeats the exact string.

2 hr
Day 25Publish the first cornerstone piece

On your entity home first. Then mirror it outward, with the first link pointing back home.

4 hr
Day 26Record the first video

Canonical name in the first fifteen seconds, same string in the captions. Landscape, so it can live anywhere.

2 hr
Day 27Write the first case study

Names, dates, results. A case study nobody can check is a paragraph, not a record.

3 hr
Day 28Set the three-assistant baseline

Ask ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity the same three questions about you. Save the answers with the date. The delta is the measurement.

45 min
Then forever

Hold it

Day 29Set the weekly review

Thirty minutes. Search your name signed out. Note anything new on page one, good or bad.

30 min/wk
Day 30Set the quarterly audit

Nine queries, a Knowledge Graph re-read, a fresh assistant baseline, and one new third-party record. One is enough.

2 hr/qtr

When doing it yourself stops making sense

Honestly: most of the time it does make sense, and you should. The calendar above is roughly about 45 hours spread over a month, and none of it needs a tool you have to buy.

Keep doing it yourself if
  • You have four to six hours a week and can keep them for a year
  • Your name is uncommon enough that no namesake is competing with you
  • You already write or speak publicly, so the witness step has raw material
  • Your opportunity cost is under roughly a hundred dollars an hour
The month is the wrong purchase if
  • You will do week one and then nothing for four months, which is worse than not starting
  • A live namesake is already serving a different person's panel for your name
  • You need somebody else to have made the introductions the witness step depends on
  • The hours are genuinely the expensive part of your week
